Meet the Staff

rachel-tomlinsonRachel Tomlinson, Certified Veterinary Technician

Rachel has been working at Strickland Veterinary Clinic since 2004. She became a CVT in 2005 after graduating from the Pima Community College Veterinary Technician program. She also holds a BS degree in Pharmacology from UC Santa Barbara. After many years of working in pharmaceutical research, Rachel realized her true passion was working with and helping animals. She was fortunate enough to be able to follow that path and has never looked back. She has been very involved in local animal rescue for about 10 years. She shares her home with 3 great dogs, 9 cats of her own and varying numbers of foster cats.

Liz-CarpenterLiz Carpenter, Veterinary Assistant

Liz has always enjoyed a special bond with animals and has been in the animal care field for over 10 years.  Her number one mission is to make pets feel happy and comfortable, wherever they are, at home or at the vet.  Liz’s pets are her children and she and her husband currently have a wonderful group of rescued “four-legged kids.”

Rachael Erickson, Veterinary Assistant

Rachael grew up in Arizona riding horses and raising animals.  She attends Pima Community College and will soon graduate from the Veterinary Technology Program with an Associate’s Degree of Applied Sciences.  She enjoys helping animals immensely and loves assisting the doctors during examinations.  Rachael shares her home with her two dogs, Lucy and Bella.  In her spare time she enjoys fishing, camping, music and spending time with her family, fiancé and friends.

Melinda Abdul Rahman, Veterinary Assistant

Melinda has been a Veterinary Technician for 10 years and is currently a full-time student at Pima Community College to eventually fulfill her dream of becoming a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.  Her hobbies include spending time with her husband and four awesome kittens.  When she is not busy with school and work she is dedicating time to endurance athletics and has also completed several marathons.  She is very honored to be part of the compassionate and caring staff here at Strickland Veterinary Clinic.

Jacqueline Thompson, Veterinary Assistant

Originally from Cottonwood, Arizona, Jacqueline graduated from the University of Arizona in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science.  Her goal is to become a veterinarian and specialize in pathology.  She has a Basset Hound named Riley and a lovable color-point cat named Cleo – they are her spoiled babies!

Kristine-Billingsley

Kristine Billingsley, Receptionist

Kristine is originally from California, but was raised here in Tucson.  Her love for animals brought her to work at Strickland Veterinary Clinic and she has been here for 4 years.  She enjoys working with pets and their caring owners.  Many clients appreciate her willingness to help out in any situation.  She has a cat named Clooney who keeps her busy when she is home.

Barb-OsborneBarbara Osborne, Receptionist

Sixteen years ago, Barb and her husband, Mike, escaped the snowy winters of Rochester New York and moved to sunny Tucson.  They are blessed with two sons, two beautiful grandkids and eight “fur kids,” their rescue cats. 

Born and raised in New York State, Barb worked for Eastman Kodak Company for over fifteen years.  She was surrounded by animals growing up and has been actively involved in the animal field for the past sixteen years.  Before coming to Strickland Veterinary Clinic in 2008, Barb worked for many years with a therapeutic horseback riding program as well as with a cat rescue organization.

Barb’s lifelong compassion for animals and their wellbeing, coupled with many years of experience in the customer service field, makes her job at the clinic very rewarding.  She enjoys working with the clients and their pets, always making sure they feel welcome and at ease.  

Aurora-Lykos


Aurora Lykos, Veterinary Assistant

Aurora is currently enrolled at the University of Arizona, studying Veterinary Science and Chemistry.  After graduation this year, she hopes to pursue her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.  Aurora and her boyfriend share two shih tzus, Muffin and Snickers, and her horse Snake River lives nearby.

Kris-LangeKris Lange, Office Manager

Kris was born and raised here in Tucson, and has worked at Strickland Veterinary Clinic as the bookkeeper and office manager since 1994!  Although she does not currently have a pet of her own, she loves spending time with all the animals at the clinic.  When not at work, she enjoys her time with her husband and two grown children.
